Year 10 Summer School

Our Year 10 summer school is open to students from our partner schools. Back for the first time in person, the University of Sussex Year 10 Summer School runs from Wednesday 6th - Friday 8th July 2022, and allows students to experience what it is like to be a University student, including: 

• A taster of university learning, with an engaging, fun lecture, plus academic taster sessions, with a choice of four from Film Studies, Psychology, Astronomy/ Physics, Philosophy, Engineering and Informatics - taking a look at 'Flying foods' with Ultrasound

• Student social activities such as sports/ film night and quiz night in our Students Union

• Learning more about what it’s like to be a university student from our student ambassadors, with ambassador networking and fun ambassador session

• The opportunity to meet other students from the local area

• A taster of student life, staying in halls

Year 12 Summer Programme - Access Plus Students - July 2022

Students who enrol on our Access Plus programme also have an exciting opportunity to apply for the Summer Programme. This will give year 12 students the chance to study a subject of their choice, produce a University level assignment, meet and network with current Sussex students, as well as explore our beautiful campus based in Sussex. This years Year 12 Summer Programme is still in development, however it will likely consist of the following activities:

• On campus welcome day introducing their chosen subject and meeting others on the programme

• Two online tutorials on the subject of their choosing

• A two day residential in University accommodation where students can experience various aspects of student life, whilst completing and submitting an assignment.
