The Hold of Theris, whose capital city bears the same name, is renowned for its military strength despite its relatively small size. It seeks to expand its land space, population, and power, and its position along a major river allows it to do so. This focus on expansion leaves the kingdom mostly impoverished and crime-riddled outside of the castle's walls.

The royal family of unicorn Mythicals remains small and contained, with generations often only siring one potential heir, who is then shaped to take over when the previous monarch dies. More distant family members are typically given power in the kingdom's military, which is built primarily from drafted soldiers.
