This form of magic is naturally occuring within the host, and requires no training to use. However, training in most cases will give the host more power and control over their abilities.
Examples include Daiten and their focused invulnerability or Masked Beasts' and Mythicals' natural powers.
Some beings, such as Humanoids and certain Daiten, have internal magical energies that they are only able to access through dedicated study, and honing this magic through learning and practice. Learned magic can also enhance innate magic, and some beings that have one type of innate magic may have to learn to use other types.
Examples include students of the Academy of Justice learning magic related to their field.
Gained magic is acquired through outside means. Some plants with magical properties can cause this when added to the diet, as well as physical contact with the Middle Continent's magic crystals. This type of magic can be gained intentionally or on accident.
Examples include drakes becoming invisible via a diet of certain cave plants.
The name of this source of magic is misleading. Most often, it is gained through gifting from a more powerful being, but it can also be taken from another being.
Examples include the Lifebringer granting a Daiten magical abilities, or summoning and trapping a demon to use its powers.
