Jerusalem, trampled by the nations for a set time

We read in the New Testament, from the lips of the Word Himself, that the Law and all the prophets prophesied until John:

(13) For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. (Matthew 11:13 EMTV)

So, we ought to understand from Matthew 11:13 that the Law and all the Prophets were fulfilled with the appearance and death of John the Baptist, to give way to new revelations or prophecies. In terms of prophecy, the book of Revelation (Apocalypse) bridges from where the Scriptures had stopped.

However, notwithstanding the declaration of Jesus on prophetic timeline, the 2,300 evenings and mornings prophecy of the book of Daniel was alluded to by Jesus in Luke 21:24 (LITV)

(24) And they will fall by the mouth of the sword and will be led captive to all the nations. And Jerusalem will be trodden down by nations, until the times of the nations are fulfilled.

As we may see, Jesus spoke of Jerusalem being trodden down just as Daniel spoke of the sanctuary to be trodden down. Jesus spoke of the times of the nations doing the trampling of Jerusalem and Daniel spoke of 2,300 evenings and mornings that it will take before the sanctuary can be cleansed.

The 2,300 evenings and nights vision, unlike the other visions, was sealed for many days, as we read in Daniel 8:26 KJ3

(26) And the morning and evening vision that was told is true. But you shall shut up the vision, for it shall be for many days.

Because Jesus prophesied the trampling of Jerusalem still in the future, even though Jerusalem was occupied by the Romans, we must understand the prophecy to have started with the fall of Jerusalem, with the massacre and the captivity of the Jews prophesied in Luke 21:24 and their dispersion in the diaspora.

Those who saw a fulfillment of Daniel 8:14 before the advent of Jesus are clearly in error.

Obviously, the 2,300 evenings and mornings cannot be literal days when Gentiles will trample Jerusalem. Over the course of history, Jerusalem has experienced a lot of trampling. If the year 70 AD can be the date when the prophecy of Daniel 8:14 got in motion, the 2,300 evenings and mornings will end in the year 2370. I wrote this last sentence in 2018. I am speculating that those who live in the year 2370 should witness great things concerning Jerusalem. They can also judge whether the destruction of Jerusalem took place exactly in 70 AD.

The prophecies of the Prophet Daniel concerning Jerusalem had not kicked in not even at the end of the ministry of Jesus. Jesus called for understanding of the prophecy of Daniel in Mark 13:14.

Mark 13:14 LITV

(14) But when you see "the abomination of desolation," the one spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (he reading, let him understand), then let those in Judea flee into the mountains. Dan. 11:31; 12:11

This is what we read concerning the abomination of desolation of Daniel:

Daniel 11:31 LITV

(31) And forces will stand away from him, and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress. And they shall remove the regular sacrifice, and they will place the abomination that desolates.

Who destroyed the holy people of God, as spoken of in Daniel 8:24?

Daniel 8:23-24 LITV

(23) And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors have come to the full, a king, strong of face and skilled at intrigues, shall stand up.

(24) And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power. And he shall destroy wondrously, and he shall prosper, and work, and destroy the mighty, and the holy people.

The Angel inquired about the length of time the abomination of desolation, the trampling of the sanctuary, of Jerusalem, will last. He was given a definite answer: 2, 300 evenings and mornings.

Daniel 8:13-14 LITV

(13) Then I heard a certain holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that one who spoke, Until when is the vision, the regular sacrifice and the desolating transgression, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled?

(14) And he said to me, For two thousand, three hundred evenings and mornings, then the sanctuary will be put right.

The full number of the Gentiles is to be accounted for before the Jews snap back from unbelief

Part of the Jewish nation rejected Jesus and, as a result, they were scattered into a diaspora among the nations, and Judaism was expanded to all the nations, gathering those who are thirsty of the knowledge of God through Jesus and ready to be transformed to His salvation. But, the merciful affair with the Gentiles will not last forever. Paul spoke of an unspecified number of Gentiles to fill their spots in the Kingdom of God before Israel can be grafted back to her origins. (Hence, there can be no such thing as a "spiritual Israel").

Romans 11:25 (NIV)

[25] I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.

If there exists a competition for tickets into the Kingdom to come, we, Gentiles, must become more vigilant to work on our salvation.

Philippians 2:12 (NIV)

[12] Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
