Example of a SandWing with the Hood mutation
Venomless: These Sandwings have no venom in their barb.
Deformed Sail: The affected dragon's sail grows in wrong. The sail often is ingrown and results in serious discomfort or pain to the dragon. Unlike average SandWings, these sails do not stop growing and impair the dragon's quality of life even if surgery corrects the the ingrown base.
Venom Blood: A condition where the affected dragon has no immunity to its own venom and subsequently dies from it. It may be staved off with Brightsting Cacti but is ultimately fatal. It has no visible signs and kills as soon as the dragon begins producing venom.
Flat Tail: A basic deformity where the affected dragon has no tail barb. Unlike Sandwing hybrids, the affected dragon may have a reserve of venom like a normal Sandwing; they just lack the barb to inject it. There is no other drawback.
Hydrating Pores: Although disgusting, the sandwing can control a production of 'sweat' to drink when it needs to. This sweat can also taste sweet. A downside is an extreme sensitivity to temperatures.
Frill/Hood: SandWings with this have a frill or hood like a frilled-neck lizard or a cobra. These may rise up when a dragon feels threatened or aggressive.
Lion Mane: Gives the affected dragon a magnificent lion mane on their neck.
Rattle tail: Like a rattlesnake, these dragons have rattles on the tips of their tails instead of stingers.
Miragescales: Causes SandWings to have shimmery/iridescent scales, usually caused by reflective scales.
Waterscales: SandWing eggs that are hatched directly in the hot desert sun have a chance of developing the ability to store water in their sails, much like camels are able to store water in their humps. This allows them to go without water for as long as seven months.
Viper: SandWings with this mutation have fangs similar to a viper. These may or may not be able to inject venom into victims. Their scales may also become sharper.
Bearded Dragon: SandWings with this mutation have spikier scales than usual. They may also have shorter wings and be more grounded than others. Depending on genetics, they may also be cold-blooded, and may not be able to stray very far from the desert heat. (separate shop item)
Glass-scales: Similar to Transparentscales, where you can see completely through them, but their scales are extremely fragile, easy to scratch, and overall similar to glass. Usually caused by being around a high amount of electricity as an egg, often due to being struck by lightning or it striking extremely close by. (giveaway only)
Cactus-scales: The scales of the affected dragon are short, pointed, and sharp, like needles on a cactus. These bristles are rather brittle, however. Affected dragons typically have bolder colors and a general lack of patterns. Their venomous barb is smaller and fragile but supposedly produces more potent venom. These dragons can also grow cactus flowers from their scales. (giveaway only)
