Frostscales: The affected dragon has freezing cold scales. Like firescales, the severity of this condition varies; it may range from freezing nearby raindrops to completely freezing whatever they touch. The strongest forms come from twin eggs where one absorbs the frost from the other. Severe forms are characterized by orange eyes and brighter colored scales.
Chin Spines: The spike-like spine's of a IceWing can also decorate the face and chin of an IceWing. This slightly affects face mobility but elsewise shows no issue.
Tusks: This mutation gives an IceWing tusks similar to that of mammoth's. These just out from below the ear of an IceWing and curl nicely. The tusks aren't very good offensive tools, but are great for decoration.
Snowbreath: Instead of the dangerous crystalized ice breath IceWings usually have, these dragons will breathe out large amounts of snow, or even small hail pieces. This isn't as powerful as their usual ability.
Rosette: IceWings will have a rosette/leopard like patterns along their body that come in blues and silvery greys. The amount of patterns can differ from dragon to dragon.
Triple-Horned: An IceWing will have a third horn in the center of their forehead. It's just as sturdy as their other horns but can cause occasional headaches for the dragon.
Tuxedo: IceWings will have the tuxedo-like pattern of penguins with the black stripes and cape patterns. No orange is present.
Dry Ice: These IceWings are colder than usual and emit a cold, white vapor similar to dry ice. The cold doesn't directly harm dragons like a frostscales might, but may cause discomfort or minor frostbite if the dragon makes physical contact with another for excessive periods of time.
Sabertooth Fangs: The affected dragon will have long, thick fangs that stick out of their mouths, similar to those of a sabertooth tiger. These teeth are extremely fragile and prone to breaking off, but can deliver fatal slashes to unarmoured scales.
Furred: These IceWings have patches or are covered in fur. It can be of varying length and colour.
Flu: IceWings are perpetually sick with the flu, but because of it, their immune systems are rather resistant toward other illnesses; this usually happens when IceWing eggs are malnourished/exposed to too much cold, or are neglected.
Frosteyes: These IceWings have seemingly frozen-over eyes and poor vision. Their eyes appear to have a layer of thin ice coated over them, and while beautiful at times, they can sometimes have ice thick enough to make them completely blind.
Glass-scales: The affected dragon has very shiny translucent scales. They are very fragile and prone to illness, but have an odd resistance to frostbreath and cold in general. Affected dragons have crystal blue eyes and especially sharp horns/claws/spikes. Their frostbreath is often weaker than average, but are very light and good at flying due to their light scales.
Feather Ruff: The spikes of the affected Icewing's ruff develop into full fledged feathers. They shed and regrow annually and tend to be plain in appearance, typically having three similar colors maximum. They don't have any serious side effects aside from itchiness when they're regrowing. The amount of feathers vary by case, from slightly fluffy 'spikes' to fully formed primary feathers.
Aquatic: This mutation causes an IceWing to have fins on their cheeks and legs as well as webbed feet, but no gills. They also get a more expandable lung so they can hold their breath longer. These IceWings have an extra resistance against cold due to their ability to dive deep and under the ice, but still cannot hold against frostscales. This makes them especially sensitive to heat.
Pressure Breath: Instead of being able to shoot an icy blast, the IceWings will have some form of pressure, making the blast more like icy explosions bursting out of their mouth. It risks damaging them but can cause major damage outside. (separate shop item)
Ice Spikes: An “ancient” and rare IceWing mutation where ice grows along the entire spine, and replaces the usual spikes. It goes down the neck, and all the way down the tail. Severe cases often have it growing on the wings with growths on their claws and down their arms. Other severe cases can also have taller build-ups of the ice that are extremely heavy and make it almost impossible for them to move. The lesser cases have smaller growths that focus mainly on the back and shoulders. The spikes are able to be broken off, but is incredibly painful for the dragon. It was most common in the ancient IceWings and only appears in those IceWings’ descendants, making it a rare sight, especially with its high death rate due to it restricting the IceWing’s movement. Controlled Frostscales: A specific and rare variant where the user can control the degree of which their frostscales reaches. They can never lower it enough to return to normal and if they extend it too high, they can freeze themselves. (giveaway only)
Geiser-Breath: IceWings can shoot out extremely violent gusts of surprisingly hot steam that can burn scales and flesh. These IceWings are much weaker to the snow, but can barely manage in the colder areas of the kingdom. (giveaway only)
Slushscales: The counterpart to Frostscales. Common in twin eggs where one twin has Frostscales. The affected dragon has a severe lack of frostbreath, unable to cough up more than a cool mist. Affected dragons have dull scales, darker colors, a weak immune system, general weakness, and a severe vulnerability to extreme cold and extreme heat. (giveaway only)
