Mandible: Powerful and painful, dragons with this mutation have mandibles, like bugs
Antennae: These dragons have antennae similar to SilkWings.
Bugscales: The affected dragon's scales match that of certain bugs (ladybirds, christmas beetles, rhinoceros beetle, etc). Their scales are extremely brittle and they will usually have beetle-like wings.
Venomless: These dragons have no venom in their toxin-producing stingers.
Fuzzyscales: Instead of normal scales, the scales on these dragons are fuzzy.
Toxic scales: On rare occasions a HiveWing is born with their toxins being secreted from their scales. While this isn’t from overproduction, it can be paired with it. Normal cases aren’t very dangerous unless their toxins get into open wounds, eyes, the mouth, etc. Anything that would allow the toxin to enter the body. When paired with overproduction, the toxin has a higher potency which can cause longer or harsher effects as well as irritate skin and cause mild infections (due to distant NightWing ancestry).
Spiderfeet: HiveWings with this ability are able to scale walls and stick to ceilings like spiders can.
Fireflyscales: These dragons can make their scales glow like a firefly can; some of them glow similarly to NightWing glowscales due to the distant NightWing genetics within HiveWings.
Ironclad: HiveWings with this mutation have exceptionally thick, tough scales that are nearly impossible to claw through or break, much like some beetles. However, the thickness and heaviness of these armour-like scales usually reduces movement and flexibility.
Horned: HiveWings with this mutation grow large horns from their face, similarly to species of horned beetles. This is believed to have been inherited from the ancient BeetleWings, and it is exceptionally rare. Depending on the length and width of the horn’s growth, it may cause massive blind spots in the HiveWing’s vision, as well as a permanent slouch due to the weight of the horn.
Spiderlegs: Dragons with this mutation have eight legs. On some occasions, they may also have more eyes and be a bit fluffy. (separate shop item)
Six-legged: Much like most insects, these HiveWings are hatched with an extra pair of legs. (separate shop item)
Honeyscales: These dragons have a sweet honey that seeps through their scales. They are usually golden yellow in color. (giveaway only)
Venom Overproduction Similar to RainWings, they can have too much venom which can cause a blockage in their stingers or cause it to constantly drip from the stingers. This can happen on any toxin releasing areas, which are their teeth, claws, and stingers. (giveaway only)
