Birdcall: Instead of a normal voice, these dragons can only mimic the sounds of bird calls.
Bird of Paradise: These RainWings have either oversized or layered (multiple) frills, which can impair movement and/or vision slightly.
Venomscales: A mutation where the affected dragon's venom is secreted by their skin rather than stored in the venom glands in the mouth. However, while not as potent as normal RainWing venom, it causes skin irritation to those exposed to it, much like poison ivy. It has no effect on related RainWings. Affected dragons have smooth, slick scales from the thin coating of venom on them.
Saberfangs: A mutation where the affected dragon's fangs are unnaturally long and thick. While stronger than average RainWing fangs, they are incapable of shooting venom and often grow in uncomfortable positions. With regular maintenance, however, they have no negative effect on the dragon's quality of life.
Python Teeth: Instead of venomous fangs, RainWings would have hooked teeth that can cling onto something. It makes it slightly difficult to eat and lacks venom anywhere.
Extra Fins: The fins along the side of a RainWings face can appear anywhere along the neck, legs and tail, instead of just on the cheek bones. It mostly appears on boney areas. This affects flight ability and causes drag on the RainWing.
Shimmerscales: Instead of the normal color changing scales, these RainWings are constantly shifting into a kind of watery gradient pattern of colors. They can control the color, but it would end up a mix of multiple colors similar to it. For example, a blue would end up various shades of blues and some greens.
Chameleon eyes/tongue: RainWings’ eyes are able to move independently of each other and stick out from the head slightly. Their tongues are also extra long and can shoot out from their mouths, and are covered in a sticky saliva so they can grab things from afar.
Gecko: RainWings with this mutation have sticky feet that can scale just about anything. They also react similarly to geckos when under extreme stress; they may shed their tails and regrow them over a period of time if threatened. They may also obtain sticky tongues. (separate shop item)
Featherscales: RainWings with this mutation have random patches of feathers across their body that are brightly colored like the birds that live in the rainforest. I.e., Parrots, Toucans, Hummingbirds, etc. These RainWings lose the ability to change colors completely. (separate shop item)
Acidscales: Like SkyWings, RainWing twins are able to take the venom from one another. In this case, the dragonet takes the venom from their sibling that can melt through anything. It is highly dangerous and slight contact with it could lead to the death or permanent injury of a dragon.
Splotchedscales: Somewhere between TrappedScales and regular scales, SplotchedScales causes only spots of a RainWing to change color. Most assume that this was caused by a lack of sunlight, but no one really knows. (separate shop item)
Snakeface: RainWings with this mutation have python-like snouts, with various labial pits above their lips, which allows them to see thermal images of animals, and a forked tongue which they can use to smell things from afar. RainWings with this mutation are usually hatched in complete darkness and tend to have weaker than average eyesight. (separate shop item)
Venomless: In the case of RainWing twin eggs where the venom is taken, this RainWing dragonet had the venom taken from it. This leads to venom that can not melt through more than a plant or, in some cases, the dragon has no venom at all. (giveaway only)
Overproduction: A RainWing will create a much larger and more potent amount of venomous acid than other RainWings, so much so it leaks into their mouth. When they intend to use it makes it glob and spool out of the mouth and cannot be shot out productively. (giveaway only)
Trappedscales: Unable to shift colors. Typically associated with physical deformities like crooked snouts, stunted limbs, small useless wings, or ingrown claws or teeth. Affected dragons typically are some shade of green, which is theorized to be the base color of RainWings. (giveaway only)
Phantomscales: RainWings hatched with this mutation are stuck in camouflage mode constantly, and are entirely invisible. Some small parts of them may be normal. (giveaway only)
Neonscales: The affected dragon's scales give off a bright colorful glow due to bioluminescence. They can give off a steady light, brighten or dim, or pulse in time with their heart beat and/or emotional state. Some dragons can control this, some cannot. (giveaway only)
