Unit 3: Vectors
Major Concepts
- Understand that a vector is any measurement that includes direction (displacement, velocity, acceleration, force...)
- Understand that a scalor is any measurement that does NOT include direction (distance, speed, mass, time...)
- Understand how to use a scale drawing to solve two-dimentional vector problems
- Undersand how to use trigonometry to solve two-dimentional vector problems
For ALL vector problems:
- Include what direction north is
- Include arrow heads on ALL vectors (including the resultant)
- Label ALL vectors with magnitude (how large, with units) and direction (N, S, or 20 deg E of S)
