Unit 4: Applications of Newton's Laws-I

For the quiz, understand conceptually what causes friction and difference between static and kinetic friction. In addition understand conceptually what mu and the normal force represents in the expression for friction and why they matter.

The quiz will have two parts. The first part will consist of one question about friction and two problems where you will have to apply Newton's Law to solve. The first part will count on 1st quarter.

The second part will consist of a take-home where you and your group will be analyzing an accident to determine liability.
