This project focuses on helping children in the Champaign-Urbana community. Volunteers get the chance to impact a child's life for the better. As Project Director, Jayla wants to create a fun and supportive environment where both the children and volunteers are able to learn and grow. Jayla hopes to plan fun and engaging events such as storytimes at the local library and children game nights.

Why I love VIP: "I love VIP because it gives me an opportunity to make an impact in the community and on campus. VIP has allowed me to serve many different areas of the community while giving me the opportunity to grow as a leader and a person. VIP has also allowed me to meet and form wonderful relationships with people."
Why is my project the best: "My project is the best because it is shaped around pouring into our future generation. It allows us to give back in a way that is powerful and meaningful while also creating a space for children to feel supported and valued."
