The Community Justice project works to provide a source of comfort for prisoners in nearby correctional facilities. Railey's vision for the Community Justice project is to inspire more students to think about our justice system through a restorative justice lens. She hopes to provide support to incarcerated individuals through book drives, a pen pal program, and various crafting/ fundraising events. Why I love VIP: "I love VIP because it is such a large organization filled with great people. VIP also has volunteer events that are catered towards many different interests so it is very easy for students to get involved in the community."
Why Community Justice: "The Community Justice project supports a group that is often overlooked and undervalued in our society. My project allows students to become more knowledgeable and empathetic when it comes to our justice system and who it impacts."
