Join us to celebrate the new year and the start of a new semester by making 2026 Goal Punch Cards! We will have all the materials you need to create your own personalized punch card along with making some for other students on campus. But what is a goal punch card? It’s a fun take on a New Year’s Resolution, where you set a series of mini goals and a reward. When completed people can carry it with them as a tangible reminder of what they want to accomplish this year.

Anywhere from dogs and cats to critters, YOU can get involved.
VIP is exploring a collaboration with the Makerspace Urbana Repair Cafe, a free monthly community event where volunteers work with community members to fix broken household items, like clothing that needs mending, small appliances, toys, electronics, yard tools, and more. The goal is to reduce waste, keep things out of the landfill, teach repair and engineering skills, and build community by empowering people to understand how to fix things.
The Repair Cafe is run entirely by volunteers and donations and is designed to be welcoming to all skill levels. You do not need prior repair experience to participate. Volunteers can help repair items, shadow experienced mentors to learn, or simply support the event. The Repair Cafe takes place every third Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Makerspace Urbana in the lower level of the Independent Media Center.
This form is to collect interest to understand how many volunteers may want to be involved.
