Objectives of the association:

-To study the history of timber rafting development in Latvia;

-To identify, collect materials about former Latvian rafters and give them opportunity to contact their craft colleagues elsewhere in the world;

-To integrate rafting into the culture of modern society as part of Latvia's intangible cultural heritage through various events and projects;

-To introduce rafting in Latvia to both local residents and foreigners through the activities of the association;

-Organize and support raft-related meetings, studies, researches, events;

-To identify, unite and organize rafting enthusiasts in Latvia;

-To establish contacts, cooperation and promote their formation with similar organizations in Latvia and abroad;

-To exchange experience and knowledge with similar organizations in Latvia and abroad.
