Jaunklidzis Community House

Jaunklidzis Community House unveiled in 2010 is a place where boundaries between the library and the multipurpose centre have merged together. One-floored community house designed by architect A. Bisenieks remains of drying-house of ancient Latvians where Latvian constructing traditions and proportions are transferred from historical drying-house in Vidzeme with characteristic archetype. The community house in "Mežuļi" of Plāņi rural municipality built in 1785 which is encountered as a cultural historical value and since 1940 is located in Latvian Ethnographic Open-air Museum has been used as a prototype. Jaunklidzis Community House is one of 59 Latvian small "castles of light".
