Village applies for Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant

November 8, 2022

The Village of Rutland, in partnership with Tetra Tech, has applied for a $250,000 Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant with the Ohio Department of Development for the demolition of the former Miller's Gas Station on Main Street.

Village Hall equipped with new telephone system

The Rutland Village Hall-Civic Center now has a new telephone system to better assist those contacting a Village department.

Rutland Village Council passes 1% Village income tax

October 18, 2022

A one percent Village income tax has been levied in the Village of Rutland by an ordinance recently passed by Rutland Village Council. The ordinance, passed unanimously, comes as the Village Council continues to take decisive action in resolving the Village's fiscal emergency status.

Rutland Halloween Parade to be held October 22

October 9, 2022

The Village of Rutland will hold its first annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Line-up will begin at 6:00 p.m. Similar to the annual Rutland Fourth-of-July Parade, small vehicles and floats will line-up at Depot Street and large vehicles and fire apparatuses will line-up at Meigs Elementary School. The parade route begins at the intersection of Main and Depot streets and will continue through Main Street, left onto Salem Street and will end at Larkin Street.
