HOW TO RUN A MITE PRACTICE

  • Practices last 60-90 minutes in duration (based on field availability).

  • Make sure to introduce yourself to the parents and players at first practice.

  • Team cheer to start practice.

  • Typical practice plan: Stretching (5 minutes), learning to run the bases (15 minutes), learning the positions (15 minutes), split up team into 3 groups for 3 stations run by the coaches and/or parents - hitting, fielding, throwing (30 mins - 10 mins each station).

  • Team cheer at the end of practice and give out snacks.
