Coach Pitch is a non-competitive division (score is NOT kept and there are no umpires).
50 feet between bases, 30 feet to pitcher.
Games are played for 3 or 4 innings depending on time.
An inning consists of 3 outs or 7 runs scored.
Pitcher will be a coach from the team at bat. Pitcher will kneel, crouch or sit on a bucket and throw the ball in a dart like fashion to the batter.
**BEFORE JULY 1st** Batter is allowed 5 "good" pitches. If batter does hit on 5 "good" pitches then a tee is brought out to allow the batter to hit off of.
**AFTER JULY 1st** Batter is allowed 5 "good" pitches. If batter does hit on 5 "good" pitches then the batter is out.
The pitcher (coach from the team at bat) is considered the umpire and will make the strike and out calls.
Runners must wait until contact to leave the base.
Entire team plays defence. 6 players on the infield - Pitcher (standing close to the coach pitch pitcher) WITH helmet, first baseman, second baseman, shortstop, third baseman and a player playing just in front of second base. 6 players in the outfield - spread out evenly. Players may not play the same position twice and must play at least 1 full inning in the infield.
Defence should attempt to field ball and throw to first base. Outfield should attempt to throw the ball into the infield. Time is called when an infielder has the ball and there is no play to be made.
