Official length of game: Six (6) innings (5th and 6th inning is open).
An inning consists of 3 outs or 5 runs scored.
No player may play the outfield twice unless all other players have played the outfield once, three times until all other players have played the outfield twice, etc.
No player may be on the bench twice unless all other players have been on the bench once, three times until all other players have been on the bench twice, etc.
Each player must play an infield position and an outfield position for at least one full inning. within the first Five (5) innings.
A player may play the catcher position for a maximum of Three (3) innings.
A player may pitch a maximum of Three(3) innings (innings must be consecutive). All pitchers must sit out the number of consecutive innings needed to bring balance to the number of innings played by all teammates.
Where a pitcher is slated to play innings 1, 2 and 3, the next positions played must be as follows: 4th inning - bench if required, outfield if not required, 5th inning - outfield if player was on the bench in 4th inning, any infield or outfield position if player was in outfield in 4th inning.
The 6th innings is exempt from "rotational rules", meaning a player can play a position for the second time in a game ONLY in the 6th inning. The pitching rotational rules however, are still in effect for the 6th innings (you cannot bring a pitcher back who previously pitched unless they pitched to end the 5th inning). The catching rotational rules are still in effect for the 6th inning, meaning that no one player can play catcher for more than Three (3) innings.
Catcher cannot be substituted unless for reason of injury.
A pitcher must be substituted if he or she hits batters Two (2) times in One (1) inning or any Three (3) batters during a game. A pitcher will be ejected from the game if he intentionally throws at a batter.
The defence will consist of: pitcher, catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop and up to Three (3) outfielders for a maximum of Nine (9) players.
House league extra innings in playoffs ONLY. The International Baseball Rule is used - the Away team will start the inning with One (1) out and the player that was the last out from the previous inning on second base. Same will apply for the Home team.
