Biography

Many years ago, there was a young Dragonair who met a young Drakloak. The two fell in love and oops, there was a clutch of eggs. Neither of them were mature enough to want to care for offspring, so the eggs were all-but abandoned in the sand of a wide desert, scattered around with the assumption that they’d hatch eventually. Most of the eggs hatched eventually, as the occasional dragon-type would come near and accidentally impart enough energy to awaken the Pokemon within, or a human would find an egg uncovered by the winds. Eventually only one egg was left.

Eventually, a powerful dragon-type did spend enough time nearby to hatch the egg - that being a Flygon named Gresh who had set up camp in the sandy desert. It didn’t take long for the strength of Dragon-energy around the Flygon to awaken the final egg, and of course the little serpent that hatched from that egg sought out the source of that energy. The newly hatched Dreepy/Dratini was noticed and picked up by the Flygon, who named it Dee and cared for and raised it as if it were his own child. They spent several happy years together, but one day a strange swirling portal opened up and Dee fell through it, finding themself in the strange world of Sinnoh and Rocket Hideout.

Dee doesn’t know what the other Pokemon who came through the portals want to do, but it’s not a big fan of being alone, so it generally just latched onto the nearest source of warmth and hung out with them. It’s happy to hang out with the folks of Rocket Hideout, and eager to learn what the team is all about.
