Biography

Rumble was born, along with his twin, Spark, to a Zebstrika/Mightyena and a Plusle/Minun/Rapidash. Rumble was born as a Minun/Blitzle, while their twin was a Plusle/Blitzle. When they were just a few weeks old, barely old enough to form memories, let alone care for themselves, their parents were torn away by horrible circumstances. Rumble and Spark were napping under a bush when the loud trampling noises of battling Pokemon woke Rumble up. He snuck out from under the bush and watched as his parents were torn into by fierce Pokemon, under directions of a human. Battered and bruised, his mother spared a single worried glance back towards him as a Pokeball flew at her and she was captured. 

Spark fell ill soon after, or maybe she was already sick and the loss of their parents made it worse. Rumble couldn't feed her... he could barely feed himself. They managed for a few days before Rumble gave up trying to keep them safe and hidden, and began to sob. He sobbed, and sobbed, somehow even at his young age knowing he was going to die. 

But he didn't die. 

A golden angel, shining and warm and bright, pushed away the bushes and looked down at the starving, sick, shivering children. She lifted them out of their despair and brought them home with her. Stella, a Mightyena just like their birth mother, was now Rumble's entire world. She carried them away to the Hideout, brought Spark to the infirmary to receive urgent medical care, and attempted to move on from the experience, leaving the toddlers to what she thought was far more capable hands in the nursery. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, Rumble refused to allow that, latching onto the shiny Mightyena and refusing to be around anyone else. Alas, the child had chosen, and Stella was a mom now. 

Stella begrudgingly accepted her new status as mother to Rumble and Spark, and quickly grew so attached to the pair that these days, she'd never admit that she ever considered leaving them in the nursery for someone else to adopt. 

Rumble refused to leave Stella's side for nearly a year, but he eventually adjusted to his new life and began to enjoy his community. His clinginess got bad for a bit when he was about three, as a new person had joined their little family, that being Inkblot, an older child who also needed Stella's support and love. Rumble disliked Ink for a while, but got past their jealousy eventually, learning that Stella had plenty of love for more than just him and Spark. 

With the gradual decline of Spark's health over the years, Rumble continues to worry about her, often spending days at her hospital bed whenever she experiences an episode. 

Spark's illness continued to get worse and worse, until she was spending the majority of her time in the infirmary. After years of anxiety, a miraculous solution was discovered to save Spark. Rumble volunteered to undergo the procedure as well to make Spark feel safer with it. Their cells were infused with Cyclizar DNA, but something unexpected happened. Strange, cybernetic traits appeared, turning his blue coloration into a vibrant violet. After some research, the doctors figured out that their new traits resembled a rare Paldean Pokémon called Miraidon.
