She cares deeply about the sick and injured, and has a strong desire to help those suffering from disease. She exhibits this care most frequently in her job as a member of the healthcare team in Rocket Hideout, utilising the education given to her by the modern world to heal and bring comfort to everyone she can.

Biography

Ember was born in an Alternate Reality (known as the Past Paradox Realm) accessible to the Pokémon of Rocket Hideout by a machine known as the Time Crucible. Her parents were, like her, Past Paradox Pokémon that bear a striking resemblance to the Shinx/Luxio/Luxray evolution line. In an article in a paranormal magazine, these creatures are named Spark Tooth, Shocking Fang, and Lightning Saber. 

Ember's parents were members of a Pride of Lightning Sabers and Ember grew up fairly happy, considering the difficult world she lived in. Survival was a constant struggle against the forces of nature, against other groups of Pokémon, and even against the other Pokémon within her group. Even with this constant struggle for survival, it was, to her, a good life. She learned how to hunt and find good food, how to protect herself from attackers, and how to escape when an opponent was too strong for her. Despite the harshness of their environment, none of the Pride members questioned when Ember declared that she was a girl, not a boy as the colour of her hind paws had lead them to assume. 

This life wasn't meant to last forever, and one day as Ember was scouting the hunting range, she came across an odd glowing doorway. Her unfettered curiosity got the better of her and she stepped through the doorway, finding herself in a strange place which she would later learn to be Rocket Hideout. The first face she saw was that of an Umbreon/Blacephalon fusion named Salem. She ended up following Salem around the hideout so much that his son, Timmy, declared she must be his new sister for how much she was hanging out with the family, and thus a new family was formed. With Ember's agreement to the arrangement, Salem made it official by adopting her.

Ember isn't always entirely sure what to think of Rocket Hideout, but she understands that it's a much safer and less perilous place to live than her previous home. Also, she has grown attached to her adoptive father and the rest of his family. 

After a few years - getting a proper modern education in the meantime - Ember evolved, turning into a Shocking Fang. Most Pokémon just call her a Luxio, since her species is very similar. Ember hung out in the infirmary a lot in her late teens, volunteering to help reduce the load on the staff, and it was through that volunteering that she discovered her passion for healing Pokémon. She does a pretty good job at it, even contributing to Spark's cure.
