Friendly - Timmy loves to make friends and meet people, although he rarely seeks out new connections. Rather, when new connections present themselves to him, he will happily accept them as new friends and integrate them into his life. He does try to maintain some knowledge of his friend’s current status, and will try to catch up with friends he hasn’t seen recently.
Optimistic - Timmy is a positive individual who always tries to think the best of Pokemon, even though such an attitude has hurt him in the past. He actively tries to imagine a better future and bring it about, although he’s rarely certain of what actions he should take to achieve that goal.
Musical - Timmy is a very musical Pokemon. This was expressed as being prone to singing when he was young, and more recently he has picked up the Electrical Guitar. He enjoys playing it by himself, but finds even more joy in playing music along with others in a band - he has formed a small rock band with Kiyo as lead vocalist and Esme on drums, and they play the occasional concert for the Hideout.

Timmy was born as a simple Eevee within the Team Galactic organisation, to fathers Lassie (Mightyena) and Salem (Umbreon). His early years were cheerful and happy, with his dads loving and caring for him as all good parents do. When, as a precocious five-year-old, he informed them that he was a boy, Lassie and Salem happily accepted him, even helping the young Eevee choose his new name. Timmy was so small as a child that folks started calling him "Lil Timmy".
When Timmy was about ten, some of the science folks around the Galactic Base started asking for volunteers for a... research project. They wanted to experiment with artificially induced fusions, type changes, and other strange things. Lassie volunteered for the procedure and was fused with Luxray.
It went poorly. Lassie experienced intense bouts of pain, the fusion having been somewhat unstable. For some unknown reason, this led the Admins to decide to experiment on the Mightyena's child, so Timmy was forcefully taken away from Salem and was put through his own series of experimentations. The young Eevee remained an Eevee, but his normal typing was replaced with the ghost-type and his ability was changed to Insomnia.
While locked in the lab, Timmy got to know a young Sprigatito hybrid named Birch, as well as a Wooloo hybrid named Cupcake. The pair talked about where they'd come from (and planned to get back to), a much nicer hideout that didn't do experiments on their recruits. Timmy thought that sounded like a nice place, and when he was finally reunited with his dads, he explained his plan. By that time, Salem had also become a victim of the Labs, having had Blacephalon DNA added to him.
Their first escape plan went perfectly... up until the point where Lassie and Salem tried to escape. Timmy was left alone in the woods, not knowing what to do. He was just a kid! Luckily for the kid, a Sawsbuck/Leafeon happened to be wandering around the forest looking for leaves to munch on. After finding the small child alone and afraid, the Leafbuck (named MacIntosh), offered to help, and Timmy took the lifeline. Because Mac was so much bigger than him, Timmy began to call the older Pokémon "Big Mac", and it stuck.
The two traveled together for several weeks before they finally stumbled upon the Rocket Hideout, and Timmy managed to secure them a place to live, especially once he mentioned Birch and Cupcake, who came out to greet him cheerfully, having escaped the Galactic Labs before he did.
It took a few months, but eventually first Salem (minus a leg) and Lassie managed to escape Galactic and find their way to Rocket Hideout. There were many tearful reunions, and the fathers and son settled in, happy to become part of a more positive team. Particularly one with no humans... It soon became their true home, and Timmy rarely thought about his past in Team Galactic.
Timmy grew up, and things changed. For one thing, under Timmy's encouragement, his dads and Mac kinda sorta fell in love! And then they all married one another! Mac found a mysterious egg that hatched into Timmy's little sister, Rose, and Salem was latched onto by Ember, a strange Shinx-like pokemon from the distant past or an alternate dimension?? It was unclear. Regardless, Timmy insisted she become part of the family, and so she was officially adopted.
Timmy continued to grow older, and he found that he really enjoyed helping younger Pokémon learn, so he began to study to become a teacher.
One day, on an outing to the nearby lake, Timmy witnessed what he described as a falling star, crashing into the water. He rushed over to see what had happened, and discovered an odd green Eevee, floating a few inches above the water's surface. The Eevee explained that it was lost and had no way home, so he invited it to come back to Rocket Hideout. When he couldn't pronounce its name, it asked him for a new one, he considered the fact that it'd come from the sky and suggested Kepler.
