In the last few chapters, we have looked at 6 different metaphors which lead to addition and subtraction.
There are a few variations of addition & subtraction metaphors which are made difficult because of the language used. It is best to take up these metaphors in 4th or 5th grade after students’ language skills have attained a certain level.
There are 3 of them and we will take up each separately, with the necessary explanations. In each case the original and the new variation are given.
