Computing

We meet on the 2nd Tuesday morning each month, from 10am to 12 noon, at Quarry Bank Community Centre, Ormskirk Road, Up Holland, WN8 9AL

We share the Training Room for this session with our u3a Family History Group.

Beginners upwards are welcome. There are computers you can use or you may bring your own laptop, tablet or iPhone (with chargers).

WiFi is available and you can help yourself to tea and coffee.    Fee: £2 per session.

Why not come along and try for yourself.

Members come to Computing for a variety of reasons – some just want a couple of quiet hours to get on with a project:  they can plan walks, sort their digital  photographs, or even join with the Family History and learn to research their forbears on line. Others come to get started on their new laptops, tablets and smart phones, for which we try to give one to one support.

The Internet is also ideal for general research and browsing for information, which helps to increase confidence in the use of the system. Tuition in Microsoft Office programs is available.  Additional helpers are always welcome.
