By default, the group is open to all members and their non-member partners.
We organise occasional social events in addition to those organised by individual interest groups.
The group started on 15th November 2007 with a quiz night and buffet supper. Since then, we have hosted Burns Nights, Murder Mysteries, Race Nights, Barn Dances and cabaret evenings, as well as more quizzes. Previous Social Events

Tickets for social evenings usually go on sale at coffee mornings and speaker meetings three months prior to the event and, in keeping with u3a policy, are non-refundable. However, in exceptional circumstances, we will always try to help members re-sell their unwanted tickets. Further, we do not reserve tickets without payment.
For those events where seating is by groups of 8, 10, or 12, we may offer to reserve a table for a group of friends on a first come - first served basis. In that case, tickets must be bought for the whole group at the time of booking.
