Criteria:

AP

• Entire pelvis and proximal femora

• Both ilia & greater trochanters equidistant to edge of image

• Spine centered

• No rotation

• Ilia & obturator foramen symmetric

• Ischial spines seen equally

• Sacrum & coccyx aligned with pubic symphysis

• Proper rotation of proximal femora

• Femoral necks in full extent without superimposition

• Greater trochanters in profile

• Lesser trochanters, if seen, visible on the medial border of the femora

Inlet: 40° Caudad level of ASIS

Outlet: Cephalic Angle

Male: 20-35

Female: 30-45

Judet: 45° oblique
