•Axial improves demonstration of IP, MTP, and MTM joints
•Open joint spaces between medial & intermediate cuneiforms
Medial oblique
•Entire foot from toes to heel
•3rd through 5th metatarsals free of superimposition
•Bases of 1st & 2nd metatarsals superimposed on medial & intermediate cuneiforms
•Navicular, lateral cuneiform & cuboid with less superimposition than AP
•Tuberosity of 5th metatarsal
•Lateral TMT & intertarsal joints
•Sinus tarsi
Lateral
•Entire foot & distal leg
•Superimposed plantar surfaces of metatarsal heads
•Fibula overlapping posterior part of tibia
•Tibiotalar joint
