The TXHSWS wants everyone to stay safe and healthy as they grow in skills and knowledge. Our events have special protocols in place that meet/exceed the State and Local requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Registration closes after 20 Teams or April 7th
Entry fee: $150
All registration for this event is through: WeldingSeries.com
Payments can be made the day of the event by cash or check.
Payments can be handled ahead of time through JudgingCard by entering the number of students that you have registered at weldingseries.com
JudgingCard is not our registration system.

Build Off Info:
Team build will be in the student parking lot. The build will start as soon as the Safety meeting is over and will conclude at 1:30PM. Please bring everything you need to complete this build as if you are off the grid working. SMAW will be the only process allowed. No wire welders allowed. If you need engine driven welder please let Ms. Barbee know ASAP so she can try and make arrangements.
Blake Barbee will be on location at 6AM or earlier so she can show you the location for the team builds if you need any help.
Blueprints will be passed out on Thursday morning before the team build start.
You will need the following items: (McDonald Welding will have a truck set up incase you forget certain items)
Complete PPE
Welders
All Tools complete build
Fire Extinguisher 1 or 2
All extension cords
Rules and Requirements
Each School that attends will be able to register a Build Off Team of 4 High School Students.
Each School will need:
A banner, flag or other to display the school name. ( School Recognition and School Spirit!)
A portable welding trailer, truck or shop set up for the event. The Build Off Team must be set up to work off grid so all power will have to come from the generator or generators that the school brings.
Welder, Grinders, cutting rig, etc any tools you would need to complete the build.
Adjustable table or work table my help.
If you need a welder let us know and we can find you a machine to use for the day.
Each Team will receive:.
