Certified Welding Inspector at Falcon Weld It Up

Charles Lovett, Plant Quality Manager at Compass Compression Solutions Inc.

Charles Lovett

Charles has been dedicated to the welding inspection industry his whole career.  Starting right out of High School he attended North Harris Community College (Now Lone Star North Harris). This is where the passion for the welding trades was forged into him.  He moved on from the community college after learning about NDT (Nondestructive Testing) where he attended and graduated from The Ocean Corporation.  These combined skills provided Charles the opportunity to travel the United states performing inspections on Firetrucks and Cranes.  After traveling for a couple years he returned to Houston and joined the Oil & Gas industry as an inspector.  Several years after he returned to Houston he was eligible for his CWI, again returning to Lone Star Community College where he took a CWI preparatory course. Subsequently he scheduled and took the CWI exam at 24 years of age, he had achieved his goal.  Again this accomplishment opened doors for him where he accepted an offer as a Quality Manger at a local Fabrication company in town.  Now approximately 15 years later after holding a variety of leadership roles, he is still actively engaged in the industry but this time aiming to give back to the next generation.  His passion for education and desire to help pave the way for the up and coming welders and inspectors has been assisted with the THSWS where he fell right in line, eager for the chance to help and provide his expertise and guidance
