In order to engage students in global education, activate their interests with a game of "GeoGuesser!"
Students can identify aspects of architecture, artwork, language, and landscape to make an inference about what makes each country unique.
Students will first write about a place that they hope to travel to, either abroad or in the United States.
This will encourage students to think about global experiences and questions they might have about those experiences, or what they might hope to learn.
Once students have had a chance to discuss the inferences they made about each country in the "GeoGuesser" Game, they will use the Project Zero strategy "Same/Different/Connect/Engage." This will encourage students to reflect on how they might be similar and different from a student in another part of the world. It will also encourage students to think about what connects them to these students. This reflection will be activated in a future lesson.
