P2. Prezi How Internet Works

You must have the consent of your parents or legal guardians to do this practical exercise.  

We are going to use Prezi to create a presentation entitled How does the Internet work? Prezi is an online tool for creating dynamic presentations. The only requirement is that you register.  

1. Go to https://prezi.com  and click on the Get Started button. Sign up for the student and educator version of Prezi (Basic option is free) and, once you are on the main screen, select Create from template.  

2. Choose a template you like and click on Use this template. 

3. On the next screen, as the title of the presentation, type "How does the Internet work?" Check the Any on the Web option (which is again the free option) and click Continue.  

4. Each slide should corresponds to one of the points of the theory, summarised in your words, of how the Internet works. Click on the first slide after the title.

• How the Internet came about. 

• How the Internet works. 

• How to connect to the Internet. 

• Applications of the Internet of Things 

5. Put the titles in bold, you can choose the font and colour you like. 

6. Let's insert images. To do this, drop down Insert and choose Image. Select an image that you can find on the Internet and that is related and helps to understand the content. 

7. Insert images, videos or text in each of the editable circles. Your presentation should help you to study this topic in a more visual and customised way. So no two Prezi will ever be the same. 

8. Finally, let's define the path or order in which the objects or slides on the desktop will be displayed. Click on Path settings, which is at the bottom left, and try the different options to choose the one you like best Click on Save.  

9. Check how your presentation looks by clicking on Present.  

10. To finish, click on View link and then on Create a new link: Put your name in the corresponding box and press Copy. 

11. Create a text document with the name Practica2.TuNombreyApellidos paste the link to your presentation save the document and upload it to the Virtual Classroom in the task P2. Prezi. How the internet works
