Everything we do on the Internet leaves a trace, a digital footprint speaks about you. That information you post on Internet is your digital identity; it is your duty to take care of it and the laws protect you for that purpose.
In order to carry out this practical exercises, it will be necessary to open a text editor document to answer the questions and paste the screenshots requested in the following exercises.
We have seen that every time we connect to the Internet we identify ourselves through a unique address assigned to our computer with an identifying number, called IP address. Let's see how easy it is to know the IP of any device assigned to us.
Open a browser and go to www.google.es . Type in the search bar "know our public IP". You will see many pages that manage this service. Take a screenshot of the result paste in the document.
Choose to any link, look for the IP address you are browsing with and take a screenshot.
Repeat the step by going to www.whatismyip.com and https://www.myip.com/ . Now check it detects the same IP. Open the option to view more data. This data shows more information than you can imagine. Take a screenshot and paste it.

Open chrome browser. Press the key combination Shift + Ctrl + Supr. A window will open in which you can delete your browsing data. Take a screenshot of this window.
Pressing the Delete button will delete everything you have selected. However, there are some terms you may not understand. Take a screenshot of this step again.
Find information on what the following terms that often appear in browsing history: Cookies, Form Data, History and Download History.

Open Chrome on a computer.
In the top right corner,
Click More
Open New Incognito Window.
A new window will open. Check that the incognito icon appears in the top corner.
You can also use a key combination to open an incognito window. Windows, Linux or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + N.
The biggest footprint you can leave is the one you show on the Internet. Google your full name and see what the internet knows about you. Take a screenshot of the results and paste it into the document.
A secure Web page must have a security certificate validated by https certification companies. And how do you know if a website uses HTTPS? Look for the lock in the navigation bar.If it coloured in green, you know the site uses a trusted SSL digital certificate, in other words, that the connection is secure.
