- ULM students who come to teach in Japan have to buy insurance for third party liability and accidents, when they arrived at Matsuyama. If you have already purchased some insurance for outside of the country, please check the insurance coverage.
- Some credit cards can cover flight delay and so on. Please check their coverage for the occasion.

● Your Laptop Computer (Electricity outlets in Japan is same to the US)
● Gym shoes for PE class
● Outside Shoes for PE and other outside activities
● Room Shoes for Classroom Teaching
● Clothes: Same as you have in American Schools. Athletic Clothes are also needed. Weather in Matsuyama is very similar to Monroe. However, sometimes, a bit colder than your place. Especially, in schools, air conditioning is not enoughly used.

- In Japan, outside shoes should be changed to inside shoes.
- Most Japanese schools do not serve breakfast and concession.
- In bathroom, there are two types of toilet bawl: Western Type and Japanese Type.
- Most Japanese elementary school students come to school by walk.
- Most Japanese Schools have three-story buildings.
- In Japanese Elementary School, most classes are taught by one homeroom teacher at the homeroom.
- Average Proficiency of English Language of Japanese people is in the worst group in the world, although most Japanese people learn English more than 6 years long.
- Especially in schools, students are expected to eat all food they are served at school lunch.
