1: Roleplay Appropriately
Roleplayers must use full sentences and quotation marks for dialogue. Proper punctuation and grammar are expected. Literate/Semi-literate roleplaying is a requirement. If you are unable to produce a literate roleplay reply for your RP Submission, you may not be granted access to the RP section of the server.
2: No NSFW roleplays in the regular RP channels
Any sexual or risqué content will be deleted from the channels, and you will be asked to switch to the respective channel for that stuff. Failing to do so will result in a warning for everyone involved in the roleplay.
3: No godmodding
All characters that are too overpowered will be deleted unless their creator changes their abilities/weaknesses. That said, during combat RP, keep things realistic, and justify actions. There should be no spamming the chat with replies such as “He dodged. He slashed. He attacked.”
4: Give others a chance to react
As stated in the previous rule, you can’t overwhelm the other players involved with too many actions before they can have a chance to even type their character’s reaction. If someone isn’t responding right away, just wait for them or pause the roleplay and continue when they return. If someone is busy, it isn't a chance for you to continue the roleplay by yourself. In group RPs, the involved players should set up their own sequence and wait their turn to reply.
5: No controlling other people’s characters
This refers to describing things in a way to make other characters see a place or person a certain way. By all means, you can describe anything however you want, as long as you let others make up their own mind about it. This can be done only with the consent of the player whose character you want to partially control in instances of telepathy/mind control/illusions.
6: Voiding
Voiding is allowed, as long as you are not changing things that happened too far back in the RP. You can NOT void other people’s actions unless they agree to it. If you think something should or should not be voided, simply ping one of the mods or admins and they’ll figure the situation out.
7: Characters
Although there is no mandatory format for your characters’ bios, they should include information such as your character’s age, height, occupation, race, weapons/abilities (if any) and a bit of backstory that briefly talks about whatever you think is important about them. As said before, if your character is considered too overpowered, you will be asked to change them. If a character has been inactive for too long, they will likely be removed from the bio channels.
8: Permission to Kill
You can not kill someone’s characters unless you have been given PTK by their creator. Ideally, in combat RPs, both players would give each other PTK and play things out fairly, unless the results have been settled beforehand, OOC, or the combat should not result in anyone’s death.
9: Consent
If you are engaging in a roleplay that not everyone might be comfortable with, (e.g. Horror themes, torture, ERP, mental health triggers, etc.) you must ask everyone involved for consent beforehand. You can withdraw your consent at any time. No one is forcing you to do something you are not comfortable with or that you don’t want to do.
10: NSFW channels
There are NSFW RP channels available for members over the age of 18 in every region category. We ask that those channels are used for any sort of RP that can be considered NSFW. This includes ERP, gore, torture, tropes with highly sensitive topics, or even roleplays with sexual undertones, even if it is not explicit ERP. If you are in doubt about whether you should use the channel or not for a specific situation in your RP, use it. Members under the age of 18 are not permitted to take part in any of the types of RP specified above.
11: Planned or supervised events
Some large events such as large fires, catastrophic weather, attacks, accidents, etc, have to be pre-planned and supervised by an admin.
12: Missing Players
If you are in RP Lock, you must wait for the other members you are roleplaying with to return, or ask for their permission to continue the roleplay without them. In the case of a member being kicked or leaving the server while you were in a roleplay with them, the person could be voided entirely, or the roleplay could be broken up completely (in the case of group RPs). Either one of those options must be discussed with everyone involved in that specific situation, and everyone has to agree to one of the two. In the case of a member not being reachable after leaving you in a RP Lock, an admin/mod can give you the permission to free your character, BUT you must offer proof that you have tried to reach them and were unsuccessful.
13: RP sample
In order to have access to the RP channels of the server, you must submit a quick RP sample in #rp-sample . This sample can be about anything you want as long as it is appropriate, and copied and pasted replies from other roleplays are allowed.
14: Age Groups
Romance RP and ERP are strictly prohibited between people with different age group roles or members who have a large age gap between them. Any predatory behaviour will be punished with an immediate ban and the offender will be reported.
