Roshar is believed to be where the oldest civilizations in Tilia began, but something had gone terribly wrong, making it the most inhabitable place for humans, or any sort of sentient being.
It is a large region in the Northernmost part of Tilia where little to no life can thrive, be it human or animal; whatever does live there tends to not have any sort of good intent. There had been countless expeditions and attempts to recover the land and make it habitable once more, but they all failed, leaving behind mass graves and broken down ruins.
The geography of the land ranges from rocky hills and deadly cliffs, to swamps with monsters lurking in every dirty puddle. It is not uncommon to hear tales of this land being sung in the taverns of the five kingdoms- tales of ghosts and ghouls that await whatever brave soldier dares venture into the depths of Roshar. Along with this, tales of a swamp of blood are as prominent as the belief that Roshar is either the end of the world or Hell itself. There have been reports in the past that it is the most likely place for demons to form portals to in order to gain access to the overworld, yet no such thing has been confirmed, for no one ever lived long enough to tell a true tale of their own.
There is no capital of this godforsaken place, for if there ever truly was a civilization there, it is old enough that any of its history was entirely forgotten by the world.
