It was quite the long trip for those two. They knew each other since they were kids and their love for each other sparked in high school when they became upperclassmen. The soon-to-be college students had their first kiss when they realized they were meeting each other at the same college. It was summer when that happened.
With college behind them now, the couple were now going on their honeymoon. They were heading for Florida. The pair went on a flight to go to Florida through American Airlines. It was a rather relaxing airplane ride for them. They did have time to bond during their trip and it was a nice time.
When Maxi and John landed in Florida they drove to their hotel in their rental car. When they entered the hotel they checked in, unpacked, got ready for bed and went to bed in their hotel room. The next morning, the two of them had to wake up early to get to their honeymoon cottage.
“Wake up John! You don’t want to be late, now do you?” Maxi laughed. She was as energetic as ever.
“Oh brother,” John muttered, rolling out of bed.
They ate breakfast and got on the road once more. They drove for three hours. The couple finally got to the cottage at dawn and they once again unpacked their bags for the week at their cottage. They decided to take a tour of their honeymoon cottage.
It looked normal for the most part, but in the bedroom, which was the last room they looked at, there was something very disturbing, out of place, and quite uncanny by the bed for two. It was a clown statue.
“That’s so creepy,” Maxi whispered to John who was as mesmerized by it as she was.
“Yeah, I know,” he told Maxi.
John took a good look at that statue. The clown had the standard clown hairstyle. It was bald on top with long pillars of orange hair on the sides of its forehead part. It had these terrifying, evil eyes that gave the statue a sinister atmosphere. Its big nose was blood red. It also smiled a gruesome and sinister grin, a smile that stretched from ear to ear. This statue also had the normal circus clown clothes, but for some odd reason they had bloodstains and blood spatters on them and its white face wasn’t that normal white makeup. The clown looked extremely pale. In fact, the supposed “makeup” looked far too realistic to even be makeup. John finished analyzing the clown statue as soon as he could. He did not want to keep looking at that nightmare of a room prop.
“This is completely disturbing,” Maxi sighed.
“Yeah, let’s just get out of here. I don’t want to keep looking at this thing. I don’t even feel like being in this room,” John explained, and they quickly headed downstairs to the living room.
They decided to bond some more and watch some TV. The time to eat lunch came, and the two went to a restaurant called Black Beards Diner. It was a seafood restaurant. The young couple went to their table for two. John started up a conversation of how they were going to be able to have a good night's sleep that week with that creepy clown statue in there.
“I wonder how we will be able to sleep tonight with that uncanny prop in our bedroom,” John chuckled.
“I know, right?” Maxi groaned.
A waitress came and asked them for their order. The pair ordered for their food and the lady walked away from where they were at their table. It was a rather long wait of course, but it gave John and Maxi time to talk to each other. When the waitress arrived with their food, they gladly ate it all. After the John took the check, he and Maxi left the diner and went back to the cottage. The rest of that afternoon was normal for them.
That evening at 5:30, they decided to go pick up Chinese food for dinner. They ordered it online, left the house to go pick the food up, got back and had their dinner while watching some more television. Hours passed, and it was time to get ready for bed. So they took a shower, got dressed, and brushed and flossed their teeth.
When they entered the room they stopped in their tracks. The clown statue! The couple stared at it for a minute. John decided to call the company and ask them to remove it.
“Hello, this is John Jackson. Your clown is super creepy, would you mind taking it out?” asked John. Pause. “What do you mean. What clown statue?” John exclaimed.
The call then stopped. Everything went to static. John slammed the phone down on to its base.
He sighed in frustration. “I guess we need to sleep with that statue there, huh?”
Maxi sighed. John stayed quiet. It was all so annoying. However, when the two turned around to get in the bed, the clown prop was gone. They looked towards the door and it was open. John told his wife to stay where she was in the room. She nodded, and John headed downstairs to the living to search.
When he was downstairs though, loud screaming that was coming from upstairs caught his attention. He then raced up the stairs to check on his wife, but when he ran into the room he was face to face with a clown that confronted him before he knew it. This was no clown statue, it was a real killer clown. The uncanny being was staring into John’s soul with murderous eyes and an evil grin that stretched across the clown’s face.
That is where I must end for if I say any more, I will be dead by morning. I know this may make me look like a coward, but I know that you will be able to figure out what happened and you will be able to bring HIM… to justice.

Boisterous voices and hearty laughs bounce off the ornate walls, erupting through the halls like a cascading waterfall. Amidst the biggest party of them all. Tonight, Halloween night, was the downfall of the fallen. The happiness was brief, thought not brief enough. Darkness consumed in itself, swallowed whole, and hid, hid away. What once had been a sight of an opulent reign, disintegrated to a state of revolting remnants. In place of lavish rugs, there lie mangy mice scraping, searching for any hint:the key to survival. The once fine curtains, no trace, no sign. Their rods rusted, grotesque and ashamed at its state. Light, the word illuminate ceased to exist as a whole. Dark, chilling clouds of despair hung among the furniture and lingered all throughout. Though among every aspect as it was, the most disheartening of them all was the laughter, the conversation. Eradicated. The chilling of the silent wind, the eerie whispers reverberated through every window and wood plank,Broken frames lay carelessly in scattered remains. Flash forward to present day, till this fateful day, hope, light, aspiration sought little of the citizens. Attempting to repair, they failed, erased from existence.Memories of their childhood, memories in others of them ceased to exist in its entirety. For as you see, the once celebrated joy led to the darkness, sealing away any emotions of faith or any of that whose thoughts expressed any prospect. The last lights lit in a dark room.
