With schools being shut down, the Hackettstown High school drama club has faced many challenges in keeping the performing arts alive. These challenges have been greatly overcome as the drama club has found many ways to keep theater in their lives. The drama club's production of Seussical was unfortunately canceled this year. On what should have been opening night, drama club had a Google Meet call full of games, trivia, and a tribute video to the seniors.

To continue performing, the drama club has plans to host a virtual cabaret that will consist of many types of performances from the students. Everyone in the drama club has the opportunity to submit a video of their performances from home that will then be included in the cabaret.

The drama club also got the opportunity to meet with the writer of their last play, Almost Maine, John Cariani on a Google Meet. During this meeting, the students got to ask questions and get insight on the play that they performed.

As hard as it is to keep theater alive in such a time like this, the drama club department has been very successful.
