FRIDa kahlo

Cost: Approx. $12

Needed Supplies: Flower crown, low chested black shirt, necklace, brow pencil

Directions: This one is simple! All you need to do is buy a dollar store flower crown, a Mexican-inspired necklace (such as the one shown in the picture), and apply brow pencil to highlight Kahlo’s infamous unibrow!

a bat

Cost: Approx. $15

Needed supplies: Old umbrella, dark hoodie and dark skirt/pants, two black lightweight plastic wedges for ears

Instructions: Take an old umbrella (or new one, as long as it’s black), and remove the handle. Following that, simply cut the umbrella into halves and sew each half onto the left and right side of the arm and back of the hoodie. The goal is to make an accordion, so that when lifting your arms, the wings come alive. As for the ears, simply sew or glue them onto the top of the hoodie. Match your creation with a black skirt or jeans and you have yourself a great bat costume!

minion

Cost: Approx. $20

Needed supplies: Yellow shirt, overalls, cardboard piece, lab goggles, and mason jar rings

Instructions: First to make the Gru insignia from the movie Despicable Me, simply google the logo and attempt to recreate it with black sharpie on a small cardboard piece that you can then stick to the overalls. Following that, glue one mason jar ring per each eyepiece onto the lab goggles (view attached picture if confused). Lastly, place the overalls over the shirt, slap on the goggles, and you’ve got yourself a great minion costume!
