Hello Thursday STEM Families!

We had such a fun (and yummy!) class today making gingerbread houses and decorating them! We started off learning about the corresponding career; CAD Technicians and the wide range of career paths this includes (i.e. aerospace, construction, architecture, and even jewelry-making!) We watched a couple of short videos regarding design and structure, and what is involved in building a house that can withstand extreme weather conditions and natural disasters!

When students were given the choice to design and draw out their ideas for their homes before building, it was an unanimous decision to go head first into building. They were each given graham crackers, spice dots, frosting, marshmallows, pinwheel

mints, and more! We put on some Christmas music and had a blast building away!
