HELLO Thursday STEM families!

Week 5 of STEM was comprised of our biggest project yet! Today we focused on the career of Architects, what their work entails, and how the structure of a geodesic dome is different than other structures!

Students watched a short video on geodesic structures, as well as an introductory video on ratios (this will hopefully come in handy when we complete our domes and test the strength to weight ratio of them!) and began building their own domes using the given materials.

Next week we will continue (and complete) the build of our structures and begin our testing!

FOR NEXT CLASS: Please bring your masking tape!

1. Shoebox (no more than 12")

2. 2 Toilet Paper Rolls

3. Engineering Notebook

4. Pens/Pencils
