The 860v2 has the same midsole as the 2002R and 1906R!
The 860v2 is a very comfortable shoe. It has an excellent combination of both cushioning and support.
The 860v2 utilizes New Balance's Abzorb, Abzorb SBS, and N-ergy technologies. This combination of proprietary midsole cushioning technologies provides the wearer with an excellent combo of both cushioning and support. One key difference between the 860v2 and the 2002R/1906R is that the upper (at least for most colorways) is mostly mesh, so it is a lot more breathable than standard colorways of the 2002R/1906R.
