The following guidelines are for content integration in e-learning programs:
Pages shall be laid out either vertically (portrait) or horizontally (landscape).
OST shall be presented with the following considerations:
Text aligned horizontally to the left and vertically to the top
One line space between paragraphs
No line space between list stem and items
Paragraphs not indented
Vertical list items aligned to paragraphs, not indented
Numerals in an ordered list bolded and ending with a period without enclosing parentheses
Course, module, lesson titles, and button names bolded
On-screen tables shall be presented with the following considerations:
Tables with bolded column and/or row headers
Text aligned horizontally to the left and vertically to the center
No line space before vertical lists in cells
No indentation of vertical lists in cells
Standard graphics shall be provided to the right or bottom of the page, depending on whether the layout is portrait or landscape respectively; content graphics shall be provided to the left or top of the page.
Instruction text shall be placed as a separate, single paragraph.
Pop-up content layers that open on click shall be presented with the following considerations:
Pop-up title as the same as the name of the corresponding button/ link/ label/ tab
A Close button on the top-right corner of the layer
Background color and border to the layer, with shadow effect
Layer not to cover any other interactive hotspot
All layers to open at the same origin coordinates
Pop-up content layers that open on rollover shall be presented with the following considerations:
No pop-up titles
No Close button
Background color and border to the layer, with shadow effect
All layers to open close to the hotspot
In DADML questions, dropping of the drag objects anywhere else besides the drag targets shall be disabled.
Except for non-exclusive match, repeated dragging of the drag objects shall be disabled.
Extra information layer presentation shall be similar to that of content layers, but with a different color treatment.
