Transfer Guide

So you want to transfer a character of yours into Thalassia's Edge? Lucky for you, that's not too difficult! In this guide, we'll go over all the ins and outs of transferring characters into this ARPG.

How to Obtain Transfer Slots

Transfer slots in Thalassia's Edge are known as Abyss Fragments. In lore, "transfers" are caused by the Abyss' tendency to swallow creatures from other universes to turn them into nerokata. You, of course, do not have to follow this lore strictly in your personal stories, but it can make for some interesting situations and stories!

There are a few ways to get Abyss Fragments, and most of them are free! Here are the methods:
- Purchasing in the USD shop.
- Purchasing in the Sand Crystals shop.
- Abyss Diving (you can even get 1 free Abyss Fragment for free every month via Abyss Diving, if you want one instead of a guaranteed monthly egg!)
- Glowstone Milestones.
- Events, raffles, user trades etc.

How to Transfer Characters

When you're looking to transfer characters into Thalassia's Edge, there are a few things to look at/consider. Before you get started, though, please make sure that the character you wish to transfer meets at least ONE of the following requirements:

- The character is at LEAST 4 months old from their first post date to Toyhouse or Deviantart.
- The character has at LEAST 5 fullbody images submitted to Toyhouse or Deviantart.

Regardless of where it's posted, all of staff should be able to see proof of either requirement.

What Can and Can't be Transferred

Yes!

Any character from any other E-ARPG.*
Any character from any other ARPG, including those based around copyrighted materials.
Personal OCs.
Fan-characters from copyrighted media.
UNIQUE pets from other E-ARPGs.
Someone else's characters, WITH their written consent.

*- NOTE:

Yes, this includes personal NPCs! They are, however, treated as "personal OCs".
"Rarer" upgrades, aka anything under the "Exclsuives" tab, are ONLY TRANSFERRABLE if the character is an official character from another E-ARPG. Additionally, the upgrades MUST have similar rarity- ex if something akin to Dual Accents or Multi-Mouths are commonly available upgrades in another E-ARPG, it cannot transfer into Thalassia's Edge.

No!

ANY character, design, etc based on real-life people (without their consent).
Characters in other ARPGs that you do not have FULL OWNERSHIP of (ex. co-owns).
Someone else's characters, WITHOUT their written consent.
Non-Unique pets from other ARPGs (ex: pedigree pets from Grimsby Grove).
Characters that you have traded/transferred out of your ownership, before or after transferring them to Thalassia's Edge.*

*- NOTE: If you transfer a character to Thalassia's Edge and then trade them away, you must TELL A MOD IMMEDIATELY. You will receive a new Abyss Fragment, and the transferred character will be nulled. We track and monitor things like masterlist entries, and if you give away ownership of a transferred character WITHOUT telling staff, you will both get that character revoked with NO COMPENSATION and a strike/warning in Thalassia's Edge.

Additional Rules

[ General ]
- ALL transfers, regardless of their source group and their age in those source groups, will transfer in as Fry.
- All transfers can only have up to seven (7) Grown (Adult) upgrades. They can, however, have unlimited Baby upgrades! If you remove any of these upgrades after approval, they cannot be freely re-applied and must be normally applied. This includes all prompt, age, and other requirements.
- Upgrades must match or closely resemble existing Thalassia's Edge upgrades. If there aren't any, the trait/upgrade cannot be transferred in.
- If your character is a subspecies in another E-ARPG, they can be transferred in as a subspecies in Thalassia's Edge!
- Upgrades that specifically say they cannot be applied to Fry cannot be used in Transfers.
- Mechanics from other groups such as magic, stats, unique traits, ranks, etc CANNOT transfer to Thalassia's Edge.
- You can continue to use the transferred character in their original group!
- You cannot upload old images of the character pre-transfer to Thalassia's Edge.
- If you're transferring in a character from a group that is collaberating with us in our Crossover Upgrades, you can use that Crossover Upgrade for free- as in it does NOT count towards the upgrade limits!

[ Allowed Changes ]
- Small adjustments to markings, placements, simplifying the design, etc.
- Changing the eye/accent color(s).
- Slightly tweaking the palette.
- Changing the character's name, gender, etc.

[ Disallowed Changes ]
- Major changes to the design, such as adding colors, traits, etc.
- Majorly shifting hue/saturation/brightness of the Transfer's colors.
- Using/applying any Exclusive upgrades for non-E-ARPG transfers.

Ready to draw and submit your approval? Perfect! Let's look at a good example and get you familiar with the Transfer form!

Transfer Template

Yes!
- Boring, basic standing poses.
- At least 2 paws should be on the ground, just like all other apps!
- A clear, easy-to-understand reference in the "Original" section.

No!
- Putting accessories and clothing on the application. That can be drawn on them later!
- Massively changing the design.
- Adding upgrades/traits the character did not originally have.

The Form

Name: Your nerokata's name!
Gender/Pronouns: Your nerokata's gender and pronouns! Note that nerokata do not have a biological sex!
App Type: MYO, Transfer, Bred, or Adopt.
Species: Most likely, Standard.

Original App/Masterlist Link: A link to the original character's first image/app/masterlist entry.
Images: If your character is less than 4 months old, please link to their 5 images!
Upgrade List: List their Thalassia's Edge upgrades here. You do not need to list their old upgrades/traits, but if you're transferring an E-ARPG character with Exclusive upgrades, you'll need to add proof of those upgrades as well.
