Wild magic is a quirky, unpredictable, and powerful kind of magic. Whereas trainable magic (often called elemental magic) is better-studied and easier to contain and catagorize, wild magic is a much larger range of "fuck it we ball" type of magic. Highly popular in Thalassia's Edge, most nerokata have a few unique abilities due to wild magic!
This "extra" magic type/category, from a standpoint outside of the group lore, is primarily to give characters and users access to various abilities and magic not found in trainable/elemental magic.
With this in mind, please keep in mind that Thalassia's Edge may and will most likely have new elements and spells in the future! On the offchance that you happen to draw a nerokata using wild magic that later becomes an official ability, the wild magic art will not count for EXP.

As previously stated, wild magic is fairly common to see around Thalassia's Edge. While the phenomenon of this magic isn't well-studied, most nerokata are accepting of it due to being used to strange and unexplainable occurances in their everyday lives thanks to living by The Abyss. Seeing one of their friends or a stranger having a burst of wild magic somewhat gets a "yep, same shit as always" response 9 times out of 10.
Still, some nerokata have some unique abilities thanks to learning to control how wild magic effects them, and have integrated it into their lives. More flashy expressions are definetly sure to turn some heads, and some have even found that they can rely on their abilities to make a living based on their unique talents with wild magic! There's nothing stopping nerokata from performing around Thalassia's Edge- though if they're being destructive about it, other nerokata are likely to step in to put a stop to it accordingly.
Now- what exactly can wild magic do? Uhhh.
Yes.
Wild magic is built to be extremely free-form- really, the only rules and restrictions are as follows:
The ability must not resemble trainable/elemental magic spells, which can be found under their respective elements.
Wild magic cannot be used to hide upgrades, markings, limbs, etc.
Abilities cannot be used to replicate upgrades your character doesn't have access to.
Wild magic can allow for shapeshifting, HOWEVER, shapeshifted forms will not count for Breeding, events, etc. Shapeshifted 'alts' should be counted as personal NPCs or official creatures for the sake of GS, but only if the 'alts' resemble a nerokata or official creature.
Wild magic abilities should not go into the realm of things like "my character can end the world", "they can just look at you and kill you", etc.
