This includes the following: Thalassophobia, Body Horror, Cosmic Horror, Death, Tense Moments and Themes, Injury, Maiming, Swearing, Mild Religious Themes, and Questions of Existentialism. If this is not the ARPG for you, that is okay. While the group is rated PG-13, the target audience is closer to late teens and young adults with heavy topics.
If you're here, this may not be your first rodeo, but if it is, let me explain! E-ARPG stands for "Evolving Art Roleplaying Game". In groups like these, players will create their characters that are pretty basic to start off with, but grow over time the more they're drawn! Adults can look drastically different from when they were babies, and characters grow into their personalities along with their respective artists. Things may be slow at first, but with time and dedication, the possibilities are endless!
Be civil. Basic human kindness is expected within the chat rooms.
This group is rated 16+. There will be minors here- please keep NSFW out of the public. Ignoring this rule will be met with consequences.
It is REQUIRED to spoil any images sent with the following: Graphic depictions of rotting or nasty teeth, imagery of puppets, characters with stitch markings, button eyes, etc. Various moderators have phobias regarding these topics.
Harassing mods, members, spamming, etc will not be tolerated. Please do not DM members if they do not wish to be messaged directly. Mods, of course, can always be messaged directly.
Due to the server containing a variety of age groups, certain topics are not allowed to be discussed in ANY context within the general/normal channels of Thalassia’s Edge. This encompasses ANY AND ALL SEXUAL CONTENT, regardless of context. No video game references, nothing in relation to shows, books, or any other media. This also means that any media with heavy themes of these subjects are not allowed to be talked about within the server. So while you can create a nerokata based on a character from these medias, you are not allowed to advertise and talk about the media in the server- if someone asks what they’re based on, simply decline altogether or move it to DMs, should who’s asking be an adult.
Thalassia's Edge works on a 3-strike system. If your account accumulates 3 strikes/warnings, you will be kicked from the group- potentially permanently, depending on the offense(s). Strikes/warnings will generally be given one at a time, and stick for 6 months, although more severe cases may be treated differently!
Fry: Baby nerokata
Nerokata: Adult nerokata (Also referred to as "kata", "neros", etc.)
Pod: Plural term (ex: a pod of nerokata)
Nerokata are small to medium-sized creatures that live in the depths of the ocean of an unknown, far-off planet. Fry are generally house cat-sized, while fully grown adults vary greatly in size and shape! Nerokata, as well, are highly intelligent and are good at problem-solving, and are social as well! They live in a settlement called Thalassia's Edge, and communicate with a combination of clicks, whistles, deep, whale-song like calls, flashing their glowing markings, and sign language. Some magic users can even communicate telepathically!
Their technology, as well, is fairly advanced due to their easy access to magic. The Abyss, a giant, bottomless pit that's in their civilization's backyard, is humming with magic that leaks out and into the town. This allows for nerokata to have a variety of tech- things like cell phones, something akin to the Internet, music players, electricity, and other modern-day amenities are all commonplace to nerokata.
