What is Pan's Curse?

Pan's Curse is an irreversible phenomenon that only affects nerokata fry, and renders them completely unable to grow up.

Pan's Curse is part of why fry are discouraged to go Abyss Diving, as The Abyss is the only known cause of the condition. However, note that Pan's Curse is a completely optional "disease" to apply! It is NOT a condition that can be randomly rolled in Abyss Diving.

Why would I want Pan's Curse applied to my character?

Some people may just want to use Pan's Curse for lore reasons, as it's a way to explain and make perma-babies a canon condition in Thalassia's Edge! Pan's Curse is a condition that affects the magic in a nerokata's body by warping it severely. Since nerokata fry don't have a good grip on magic yet, this is why they're the only ones susceptible to it when The Abyss' magic levels are normal. It's an overload of magic in a small body, and has pros and cons to it, as follows:

These characters will be permanently barred from events and activities that are for adults, including:
Breeding.
Various, more dangerous events.
Boss Fights.
Some Quests.

These characters have access to the following, despite still being babies:
ALL Adult upgrades.
Magic.

How do I Apply Pan's Curse?

Pan's Curse is actually quite easy to get! In order for a nerokata fry to be eligble for it, all they have to do is go Abyss Diving at least one (1) time. As stated previously, fry will NOT be afflicted with Pan's Curse unless their owner wants them to be. There are two ways to go about this:

1) When submitting an Abyss Diving entry, simply state the name of the nerokata you wish to gain the affliction.
2) Fill out the form in #pans-curse in our Discord server.

Once this is done, a mod will process it shortly! You do not need to wait for confirmation to start applying adult upgrades.
