Kathmandu, September 6
The Human Right council(HRC) is supporting death penalties as a means of punishment to reduce crime rates on the occasion of Model United Nation(MUN) held in The Excelsior School.
“Killing can not be justified as money can be earned but lives cannot be”, the delegate of USA remarked “For the sake of justice and well being, our nation has legalized death penalties.”
The delegate of Bangladesh raised a motion to start a moderated caucus on the topic ‘does death penalty reduce crime rate?’
The Delegate of Russia said “America is struggling with inhumane racism and similarly America is also giving biased opinions towards men and women of color.”
The delegate of the USA said that only 40% of the people on death row under their government are black or from other ethnicities but the remaining 60% of the people are white.
Delegate of Pakistan emphasized “The Russian government with an ongoing war with Ukraine is treating the deserters with death rows and other evil means.”
The delegate of Russia declined the claims and said that “War is a matter of state, it can dictate the course of the nation.” and maintained their privacy.
With the course of the session, the committee is going off really well and it is expected that the committee will generate positive results on the delegates. The delegates were impressive compared to the first practice session.
