Bring New Environments to Life with VR and AR tools
In this section I have reviewed some tools that trainers can use to build basic level virtual and augmented reality experiences for learners. For basic, I mean experiences not requiring a headset or VR viewer, however some of the tools allow you to build an experience that will work either way. Some ways this technology can be integrated into training includes a virtual tour of the office for new hires, digital scavenger hunts, virtual field trips, manipulating objects on a screen in 3D to see all sides, and 360 images with hotspots that highlight learning activities. More advanced VR is a great way to train beginners on topics that are expensive or dangerous to train in real life.
