This is still a fairly new product so there are the usual risks with a new program of unexpected bugs, and less support in the general community. This work is more for instructional designers than trainers, but it's good to be aware of the options when you need to develop training on software and programs.
I haven't had a chance to use it personally. Reuqesting a demo would be a good way to see it in action. The YouTube video demonstration made it look like it's an easy layout to work with. It starts with connecting to WhatFix and starting to mirror, which will capture the entire user experience for the software or webpage you want to train on. Then you add activities or edit with option like redacting data for privacy or replacing text on a particular part. Simulations can be shared as a web link or put in an LMS giving flexibility for different companies to use as needed.
